Hiking - HPD Kunagora
Description
The pedestrian ascent from the newly renovated Our Lady of Kunagora Square to the mountain lodge on Kunagora is the shortest from the center of Pregrada. You can go back up Lenart's stairs.
This is the shortest pedestrian access from the center of Pregrada and leads from the newly renovated Our Lady of Kunagorska Square, next to the church, the path of the Way of the Cross, uphill to the mountain lodge. On the Square, not far from the church, there is a parking space where you can leave your vehicle. Then take the road past the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. At the monastery, turn left, and then follow the path uphill, marked by a forest path. In about 30 minutes, you will reach the mountain lodge, from where you have a view of the town of Pregrada and the valley of the river Kosteljina.
For those who do not want to take the same path back, we recommend that you take the paved road from home to Pregrada and that at the chapel of St. Lenart descend Lenart's stairs to the center of the city - a newly renovated square with a fountain. The 380-meter-long promenade consists of 436 wooden pillars connected by sandy platforms and is also suitable for night walking because it is illuminated.
